It was only a few seconds of Howard Stern's show time, but they were discussing that the Philadelphia Phanatic mascot's head was stolen and is valued at around $8,000--eventually, they got it back.
Well, this led Stern to mention that mascot work is a 'white man's job, he couldn't see a black man doing something so silly. Robin then chimed in and said that the guy in Barney is black, and then Howard said, "Yeah, and I think that Elmo is black, too."
They went back on the topic of the head and Howard tried to describe it, saying, "I don't know how to describe it!" Gary (?) from the soundbooth then stated, "It's a lot like Snuffleupagus." Howard laughed at him and said, "Dude, you're supposed to be this big comics collector and you can't even say their names!" Gary says, "What is it then?" Howard said, "It's 'Snuffleufagus!'" Gary then agreed with the big cheese and the show went on.
That's all, but I figued it was worthy of mention.
