The only one who is big birds cousin is Abelardo Montoya. he was even in an episode of sesame street.
http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Abelardo_(parrot)

"Abelardo also guest starred on the American Sesame Street on May 5, 1997 as part of the Cinco de Mayo celebration. He met his cousin Big Bird for the first time after looking for him all over the neighborhood with Telly. Oscar later dropped Abelardo off at the airport and taught him one English word: scram."

BTW, he's just "Abelardo". "Montoya" was his original name.

Let's not forget the "Star" of France's version of Sesame Street called, "5, rue Sesame" He's a life-sized yellow muppet with a rainbow feather tail and a large "zuchinni or marrow shaped" nose. His name is Nac. If you want to know what he looks like just take a look at my avatar. That's Nac.
