I was very young when Mr Hooper died, so I can't really remember how they dealt with his death. Also, when Jim Henson died, were there any hidden references to it? Thank you for anyone with info.

I remember seeing the episode the day it aired when Mr. Hooper died. That was sad and I cried and cried. Just like someone from my family had died! To this day, though, I don't know if it was because Big Bird cried or because I was actually sad to see Mr. Hooper gone...because, I also cried when Big Bird cried in Follow that Bird after the "Bluebird of Happiness" scene.
