This should be an exciting week for Spidey fans, because this Thursday, the first full trailer to Spider-Man 3 will be airing on MTV, during an episode of "The Duel" (a.k.a. "The Real World/Road Rules Challenge") at 10p.m./9p.m. central.

Now, I realize that some of us have either lost faith in MTV programming or hardly know what the heck they show on there every now and then, which is why iFilm will be allowing us to download it off their website at that same time. So if you're not big on MTV or just don't care for watching an episode of "The Duel" while waiting for the trailer to air, then you can always catch it on iFilm (or maybe YouTube).

And if there are some that are going on November 17th to see that new James Bond flick, Casino Royale, then you'll definitely be seeing it during the previews.

We're only six months away!

I agree. If X-Men was big, Spiderman is going to be flipping HUGE.

I just found out on SuperHeroHype!.com that MTV and iFilm (and possibly YouTube) won't be the only ones showing the new full trailer this Thursday.

CBS will also be airing it as well, during either Survivor, CSI, or Shark. They might show it at the same time it'll be shown during "The Duel", which means it might be shown on CBS during Shark (which I believe also airs around 10/9c). So, my guess is that the trailer will first air on MTV, then be allowed for downloading on iFilm, and finally show up on CBS before the hour's over.

Wow! This is going to be some Thursday!

Now this is some HUGE information to add on what I posted earlier. So huge that I'm going to have to quote it in order for everyone to read it.

Sony Pictures Entertainment said:
Spider-Man fans will get a long-awaited sneak peek at Columbia Pictures' highly anticipated motion picture Spider-Man 3 when a new, full-length, two-and-a-half minute trailer debuts in a special unprecedented "road block" across Viacom Inc.'s brands and on the CBS Television Network on Thursday, November 9, at approximately 10:00 pm. Spider-Man 3, starring Tobey Maguire and directed by Sam Raimi, kicks off next summer's moviegoing season on May 4, 2007.

The television networks airing the new trailer include BET, CBS, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV, MTV2, Spike TV and VH1, with each supporting the event with custom promotions both on-air and online. A total of 14 online destinations from Viacom's networks are supporting the airing of the trailer, including AddictingGames.com, AddictingClips.com, BET.com, MTV.com, IFILM.com, Nick.com, ComedyCentral.com, GameTrailers.com, LOGOonline.com, Neopets.com, SpikeTV.com, The-N.com, VH1.com, and Xfire.com.

Immediately following the television premiere, a high-definition version of the trailer will be available exclusively on MTV Networks' IFILM.com.

"The 'Spider-Man' franchise appeals to audiences of all ages and we wanted to find a special partner that would reach Spidey fans everywhere," said Valerie Van Galder, President of Domestic Marketing for the Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group. "This is not only event television, but it's event online programming and Viacom and CBS have an umbrella of world renowned brands that were a perfect match for our movie online, on cable and on network television. We couldn't be more excited to launch this new 'Spider-Man 3' trailer in this innovative way."
It's coming! And it's coming real soon, man!

That's cool, Kimp. Because by tonight, it'll be everywhere on the net.

This doesn't involve the trailer, but it does involve the movie itself. It's a pic of James Franco as Harry Osborn in one scene from the film, in which he looks just as menacing as his old man.

Menacing? Not at all. Sad and desperate, yes. That's what I love about Spiderman, the villains are so sad and so don't wish to be villainous however they are driven to it...so brilliant.

That's how it is with much of the Marvel Comic villains. Some don't want to be bad guys, but their methods of accomplishing their goals just makes them look wicked and menacing. Take Magneto, for example; he's just trying to help out his own race of beings but goes about it in the wrong way.

I guess Harry doesn't look all that menacing in the pic; but he is close to what his father looked like.
