Actually, Ludwig made an appearance on Ducktales, regular appearances on Bonkers and Quack Pack, and then started appearing on Mouse Works, House of Mouse, and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
But hopefully, since the parents have to watch this with little kids, the character could become even more mainstream. I mean, Disney once made a Bean Bag of Humphry the bear. In all honesty the most obscure Disney character ever (who did appear in one episode of Rescue Ranger, though). I'd kill for Ludwig VonDrake stuff... a T-Shirt, a Plush, a figurine...

I really expected more out of it, but it really seems to be just another Blue's Clues knockoff. Well, I guess it proves well to it's viewers, and it's similar counterpart, My Friends Tiger & Pooh, which I also think is another "dumbed- down" kids show.
That is what I've been saying about Sesame Street for years now, and I don;t think people get the point. Blue and Dora are horrible kids shows.l

I must say that I really find both shows very much of a flop, and I expected more out of Disney.
The same Disney that keeps making lame sequals to otherwise brilliant films, thinks people still love AFV, perpetuate the myth that watching DVD's makes your baby smarter, that keeps making horrible live action versions of cartoons by getting the point wrong, and milks the Heck out of Winne the Pooh for random and rediculous merchandie from time to time? Yeah... I don't expect much from them.

But then again, i don't expect anything from Warners anymore but to keep making horrible movies that are ripoffs of other ones (The Invasion), raping their own characters to make them appeal to moronic kids that don't exist (Loonatics), and NOT releasing Freakazoid on DVD, but releasing Wait till your Father gets home... like anyone's ever heard of that.

I've gotta agree with you about Warner, Drtooth, it really makes me mad that they haven't put Tiny Toon Adventures on DVD yet, either, that was my favorite show as a kid...

Heck, I'm surprised they did Animaniacs and pinky and The Brian in multiple volumes. I'm very angry they don't have Duck Dodgers anywhere, as I missed it because I don't have cable.

I've never heard of Wait Till You're Father Gets Home. What's that? *Goes off to look it up*

Edit: Oh yeah! I heard of that show before. it's just not instantly recognisable to me.

Why they released that instead of Secret Squirrel is beyond me.

Not me as such. In the words of Bart Simpson in the movie:

"I'm the mascot for an evil corporation!"

I think they will. Maybe they don't know if their going to release it as Secret Squirrel or as part of the Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel show. As both shows have different segments.

you're right, I could really see them not releasing it. Don't know what the hold up is about, though?
