Soundproof Practicing

Hey folks! I'm practicing for a new piece I'm performing this summer. I happen to be singing a very loud song, "Don't Rain On My Parade," in the piece. When I practice I tend to do things over and over again.

The problem lies in my apartment. While it's big enough for me to practice the whole show in it's not very sound proof. I can hear the television in my living room with the door closed when I'm at the end of the hall. I don't want to annoy my neighbors with an overabundance of Babs but I need to practice.

Solutions? Suggestions? Do you practice at home? Do you have a separate space? Do you live in your own house? Apartment? Do I ask too many questions? Help?
