Then again, a PS3 costs like 400 dollars. And additional games cost 60 bucks or so. I'm sure there are lots of people who just can't afford one, no matter how much they want them.

Its not that we cant afford a PS3 or 360, I have no interest in any of the games that are on those systems. We overpaid for our Wii, but it was the only way we could get it. it ended up being about 450 dollars

The wii has games I am intersted in playing because they arent all Shoot-em-up games which seem to be the majority of the other systems. No, I'm not a "hard core" gamer, but I'm not a casual gamer either. I have nothing against shooter games, but you need variety.

And the whole thing with them overheating faster than you can blink makes me not want to buy oone either. I mean, my old thick PS2 lasted 5 years after a 500 mile move, sometimes playing it for 10+ hours straight, constantly yanking it around from tripping over the cords. And it has games thaqt I want to play. I'm not giving it up for a system that has no games I'm interested in. (altough I recently did give that one away after I got a new thin PS2)

Yeah, in the end it's really all about which system you like best. I mean their are a lot of factors to consider when determining which is the right one for you. That said I think they all have their good and bad points. But sense I have never been muhc of a gamer ever thouhg I've had many a system over the years and people keep telling me that I don't play games as muhc as I used too and that I've been playing the DS a whole lot and playing things like Electroplankton, the Nintendo Wii is right up mu alley.
