Yes, it's bittersweet, and maybe even a bit sad. On the up side though, we can be happy, because very few people have such a happy last half-hour.

Hmm...dry, yes. Tasteless, no. It sure beats the heck out of any of those modern American-Pie type comedies, or rear-end humour...sure, it makes for a chuckle, but not really memorable.

Totally agree! British humor is often more subtle and takes time to get used to. As opposed to the cheap laughs so many shows and movies go for.
