Something I've been wondering about Bean

Bean is too cute for the Muppets. I'm really surprised that many people attack Elmo for being too cute (I do this as well), but nobody attacks Bean for being too cute.

What are you talking about, EVERYONE attacks Bean for being too cute! Attacks him, hits him with doors, etc.
Of course, I mean IN muppet productions, not like how we're doing right now.

But that is the point. The cute one has everything bad happen to him. Even in MWoO he was doing what no one else would want to do, lug around Piggy's luggage.

I think the bad stuff happening to him is what makes him lovable, not his cuteness

Another one of Steve Whitmires characters, Lips, got smacked in the door (by doc) in A Muppet family Christmas. do you think steve whitmire likes to get his arm smacked in the door, or could it be a coincidence (probably the latter)?
