This is a thread about a type of puppet that seems to be (at least to me) somewhat forgotten on this forum. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the lowly, woebegone sock puppet doesn't seem to be getting enough attention these days (the type of puppet, not the illegal internet term, just to clarify.) So some questions...
  1. Can sock puppets, if handling the right subject matter, be taken as seriously as other puppets?
  2. Do you think sock puppets are a dying medium?
  3. Do sock puppets have positive qualities that other puppets don't have?
  4. Should sock puppets be given more than a passing glance?
  5. Do you think sock puppets rule?
Thanks for your comments!

I never could quite get the hang of sock puppets to be honest. Seemed to difficult to manipulate. That being said if you can use them the right way i think sock puppets can be used in many different ways and for many different procuctions and they are fairly easy to make into decent looking puppets.
