There was a time in the late 80's thru early 90's when Bean Bunny was becoming one of the main characters...he began to show up as the core group in late seasons of the Muppet Babies, was one of the stars of JHH...starred in his own special, Muppet Vision 3d, and later starred in several made for video kid's vhs things in the early 90's. He was also seen in various movies...tho by last year he was reduced to being Piggy's cameo baggage guy.

Just wondering if there was ever a thought toward making Bean Bunny, even as a packin?

I'm assuming that because Steve has been doing more characters (i.e. Kermit) he might not have enough time to devote to smaller characters. Also Bean was always the "cute" character and that seems to be something that the muppets seem to be moving away from. Or maybe the writers just secrectly hate him! :stick_out_tongue:

My understanding was that there was an okay for a possible MCC PVC for sure; but I would like an Action Figure.

I think Bean could be used for more funny opportunities. He's so cute and cuddly that he's BOUND to end up in trouble with Dr. Phil or even Beaker grabbing him from off screen as Bunsen is about to administer a Labs test on Beakie.

I like him. They were using him for some abuse for a bit, the whole 'cute character getting crushed,' but you also felt sorry for him even though it was funny. I'd like to see Bean come back. He was great at MuppetFest, talking to Elmo, when Floyd says, "What's this? A cute contest?"
