I was just reading soem old Muppet Central news articles. I was looking at the 2002 news article that first announced that 30 minutes of It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie was going to be cut. I just noticed that in the quote regarding Snoop Doggs scene being cut, there was a quote from somebody at Henson (I don't feel liek rechecking who it was right now) who talked about his scene beign cut, mentioning that he felt bad about it, and then said that he was proud of the movie. It seems like he might have been changing the subject. I mean, he starts talking about how Snoop Doggs scene was cut, and then, for the last sentence in that paragraph, he just mentions being proud of the movie. That is good, but that's not what he was just talking about.

Well Jim Lewis described the Snoop scene in the Ask Jim thread. Sounds great, i wish they would have left it in.

I agree, I wish it had been left in too. I enjoyed the special but not in a huge way. But that scene sounds like it was good.

I know. Wo cares if Snoop Dogg was starting porn at the time? Having a big scene with The Electric Mayhem (where they talk, as opposed to their silent riverdancers scene) is much more important.

Exactly, its not like Janice hasn't been involved in any questionable films in her time ..... i mean Wizard Of Oz was pretty questionable, like why did they do it?

While reading about the scene, I couldn't really tell if Dr. Teeth or Janice spoke in the scene. I also couldn't tell from the description if Lips was in the scene (but I figure he probably wasn't, since he wasn't anywhere to be seen at all in the movie, not even in the orchestra pit, where a few generic whatnots were used).

ya know sadly i think lips is kind of going to not be use much if not all anymore sice steve is so busy with Kermit beaker and Rizo just to name a few. On that note though i would love to see Dr. Theeth to make a big come back or the whole band for that matter. BTW the Snoop scecne sounds just wonderful, i think if jim does most of the muppets writeing form now on we will see more of the older muppets come back.
