Smilie difficulties

Hey, folks.

A while back, I tried to have five smilies in a post, but I was told I had too many smilies. Um, five's the limit, right? I had to knock it down to three smilies before the screen would let me post...

Anyone else having trouble with this?

For some reason, my computer makes me "type in" the smilie instead of just clicking on the image. I guess it could use a little updating, it's quite old, 1998.
