I noticed that my signature has been reduced to one line now. Was a new law passed stating that signatures must only be a line long or something? I guess I missed that if that had been what was decided already.

I mean, that's cool if you we're just needing to save space so the posts aren't so long and it's easier to scroll through. Just wish I'd been told about it before my signature was deleted for me.
 :frown:

Yeah, awhile back we implemented some updated forum rules and guidelines. One of those was that signatures would be limited to a max of either four lines (or 125 characters by vBulletin) whichever comes first.

We were getting quite a few complaints that signatures were much too long so these limitations were put in place. You can put a lot more info in your profile though.

Thanks in advance for your understanding.

so, VBulletin automatically sets it to 125? is that for their own purpose, or could it be changed if you saw fit?

not that I'm saying I want longer sigs, I'm just curious

We can change the character limit if needed. However, this has been in place since early June and it has worked pretty well.
