Should Sesame Street use Super Grover to generate more fans ?

I used to think Dora was a good idea, but man is that show irritating for adults after several minutes!
I think it was just bad execution on the creators part.

But Abby seems so much more alive and believable the Dora is, ever if she was created to rival her.

Kids really like Grover. I am a K-2 computer teacher and I had one of my students break the rules and GOOGLE GROVER. It was sooo great I didn't even dicipline him. He was just sitting there watching a Super Grover video. Gotta love Kindergarten! I was too much of a Muppet fan to intervine!

As much as Elmo is the focus, it seems that Grover is one of the evergreen (or, in his case, everblue) standbyes that make SS what it is. I really think that Eric Jacobson's performance as Grover helped the character to relaunch his popularity.

Grover seems to be a huge favorite with older genereations, but younger kids like him too. What I think is lacking is more skits with Elmo AND Grover. Like the one where he was the singing telegram monster's assistant. I always liked how Grover seemed to be the big brother of the 2, and trying to show Elmo the right way to do something, while Elmo does his own thing, and it works out better. Hey, Elmo's on most of the show anyway, why not pair up with another character?

Super Grover was the star of the SSL show Super Grover! Ready for Action!. I guess it could work to sell more Grover merchandise.
