Should Kermit be a main street character on Sesame Street again?

I mean, after all, was one of the first on Sesame Street before Big Bird, and Kermit always taught the audience about stuff they would need to know about in those early years like the difference between Heavy and light, or long and short. And he would have an interactive magic finger game! Then Kermit was used less when TMS started, but he came back, but was used less and less, and then after 2001, they stopped using him on the street at all. So, do you guys REALLY think Sesame Workshop should bring back Kermit like I think?

Well, I don't think the Jim Henson Company would let them use him anymore. If so, they would have to pay extra, because he's not considered a Sesame character anymore, he's mainly a Muppet character.

SSetta's right. Kermit's not a character allowed on SS anymore due to rights.

Kermit is allowed as long as the JHC gives permission. The problem is, they just don't use him. Even the prerecorded segments aren't used anymore. I'd kill for a muppet news flash on Sesame Street again. But there is a new cast (basically) and people have to let go of the old stuff now. There is Elmo and Zoe and the rest. The original performers aren't around anymore (either age, schedule, or, sadly, death). It's time to move on and let the new characters take over the show. I think clinging to the old characters might be a mistake. Sure they can show up whenever needed, but don't try and force the characters into segments like Global Grover. It just doesn't make sense. Either put them all on the street with parts that make sense, or let them go.
