Footwear

I have knobby, long-overworked feet so barefoot is it for me. Best shoes I've ever owned, a pair of NatureTrek slip-on sandals with spiffy wide black straps that go across the top of your foot, open otherwise. I got them brand-new-with-tags-still-on for three dollars at the thrift store, never worn. I hope they never die. Because I really can't wear Shoes As We Know Them.

I have a pair of size 12, black "Shaq" brand sneakers. The only reason I got them is not because of the unfortunate inclussion of Shaquiel O'Neal advertisements on the bottom of these things, but because they're very plain looking, and they're slip-ons which means I don't have to bother with tying my shoes, something I started regretting when I saw the Kermit the Frog shoe laces.

I also have a pair of boots and a pair of dress shoes.

Heh...it snowed here over the weekend so I can use the boots I use for my Jedi garb as regular footwear and not look like a weirdo.

Very good indeed.

No snow here yet.

It'll happen on Thankgiving just so everyone will have plenty of trouble getting around to festivities. Always the way around here. (In boonies). Or sleet, even more fun. No one saw anyone at Christmas last year, we were all socked in out in the sticks with cut snow-removal budgets. Lots of leftovers in households everywhere. CT is the wealthiest state, per capita, but we can't clear snow. We don't know WHAT they do with all the money.

Muck Boots. Made of scuba-diving stuff, I believe. Best boots for winters here, particularly when one has gone offroad into trees without phone or humans for miles around. Muck Boots.
