When Uncle Deadly sneaks up behind Kermit in "Twiggy", Gonzo's eyes seem to widen with fright. I thought he only got this feature when Dave rebuilt his character, or is it possible that this was a first attempt to see how that feature would work on the original puppet and then abandoned for the more refined model?

maybe the lighting or the way gonzos head was, made the illusion. But your guess is as good as mine, because I never noticed it
