You're right, there were others who complained. They continued to run it for awhile, because the majoriety of the views didn't care. It was only when members of the middle class black demographic complained did they actually proceed with pulling it.
I do not recall the book saying the criticizum was limited to blacks from a more middle class background.

Thats what I got out of it... I'd re-check my statement, but I just mailed the book to my mom, so she could read it.
