The removal of The Sesame Street Archives may be a shame at first, but you'll have to remember that nothing truly last forever!

My only presume i can think of is that the January 2026's release on YouTube/"classic episodes" on Netflix have something to do with AAPB removing the catalog (Not to mention the news regarding the episodes was only a week and 2 days old)

Which begs a lot of questions tbh but i could be wrong so please take what i said with a grain of salt

They’re clearly not gonna put up every single episode publicly on their YouTube channel or have them distributed on Netflix.

I don’t know what’s going on with the AAPB library but I really think this new deal has nothing to do with it. If that were the case, the library would be gone after the HBO episode library came out. I’m not going to freak out too much about it otherwise. Whatever happens, happens. There’s bigger things to worry about right now in this world than a children’s show we’re all long-past the target age range with anyway.

To tell you the truth, It honestly could just be a coincidence in the end

Somehow I have a feeling that the reason for the AAPB's decision to do away with the entire library may have to do with people illegally downloading them, which probably got tracked by the AAPB.

No, it was already confirmed they’re updating their catalogue with the episodes. They’ll be back up publicly soon.
