Sesame Street Old School Outline 161

Season 10: David needs clothing for the rain/Oscar opens an ice cream stand

Sponsors: O, S, 11

He tries to figure out a solution to his dilemma…

Cartoon: A boy goes fishing, but he catches letters of the alphabet instead

Scene 3: The Amazing Mumford enters the Fix-It Shop and offers to help David by conjuring up some rain gear using magic. However, his first attempt results in a pair of sunglasses, swimming trunks, and sandals. Mumford’s second attempt produces a pair of mittens, a scarf, and a parka. He gets it right on the third try just as Luis returns, and David leaves in his rain clothing just as it starts to pour. Then Luis realizes that he doesn’t have any rain gear, but Mumford points to the large pile of clothing on the table: “Would you, perchance, be interested in a parka?”

Muppets: Ernie exercises to a radio program and gets Bert to join him. Bert enjoys it so much that he doesn’t realize that the Pigeon News is coming on.

However, when Oscar offers toppings like pickles, anchovies, chopped liverwurst, and diced jalapeños, both men lose their appetites.

Nobody in their right mind wants to eat ice cream in the rain! Nobody in the whole world wants ice cream with pickles and anchovies on it!” However, he is proven wrong when two Grouches approach the stand, asking for ice cream with extra pickles and anchovies.
