Muppets: Ernie has forgotten something after his bath. Bert asks if he washed his face, his ears, and other parts of his body. Ernie did, but then he remembers that he forgot to turn off the water!

Scene 5: SAM the Robot is looking for something that starts with M. He asks Maria for help, without realizing that her name starts with M. SAM finds the mailbox and becomes enamored with it.

Scene 1: Big Bird and Mr. Snuffleupagus are picking out toys to bring to the park: the baseball and mitts, the jump rope, the Frisbee, or the set of jacks? They select the baseball, mitts, and set of jacks; and they decide to retrieve the other items when they return from the park.

Cartoon: A shoemaker shows how he measures people’s feet with a ruler

Scene 2: Bob goes to Big Bird’s nest to visit. He opens the door and sees Snuffy’s giant Frisbee and jump rope. The Frisbee is labeled, “Property of Mr. Snuffleupagus.” Bob is flabbergasted and dashes off to tell somebody.

Cartoon: The Eleven Cheer (animation by Jim Henson)

Scene 3: Big Bird and Snuffy return from the park and collect their toys. Big Bird offers to help Snuffy bring everything back to his cave, and Snuffy says yes. While they leave, Bob convinces Susan and Gordon to come with him to see the enormous toys. When they arrive, Big Bird’s nest area is empty. Bob struggles to explain as Gordon and Susan laugh at his story.

Muppets: Bert is locked out of the apartment and wonders why Ernie has kept him out. As he imagines each scenario, he becomes worried, sad, and angry. When Ernie finally lets Bert in, he reveals that he planned a surprise party for Bert!

Then Big Bird stops by for a birdseed milkshake, but leaves when he can’t find Mr. Hooper. Herry Monster wants to buy a pail and shovel, but walks away empty-handed. Mr. Hooper realizes that a lot of people rely on him, and he asks Mumford to make him the same age as he was before. Mumford obliges, and Mr. Hooper resumes his duties at the store.

Cartoon: A boy rescues a baby bird, and in turn, the bird’s mother gets the boy out of his own predicament

Scene 2: Maria asks David if he wrote the love note, but he denies it. Then they find a yellow feather underneath the fire escape. Big Bird shyly approaches Maria with a rose and a bag of birdseed for her. Maria gives him a hug and accepts the gifts as David smiles.

Scene 2: Oscar wants people to leave him alone, so he plans to place a cardboard cutout of himself next to his can. After he positions it, he goes into his can for a nap. Bob comes by and sees the cardboard cutout. Confused, he knocks on Oscar’s can to ask why the cardboard cutout is there. Oscar explains and tells Bob to let him sleep.

Scene 1: Luis welcomes the viewer from the Fix-It Shop when Biff approaches him. Biff needs to ask Luis something important, but can’t remember what it is. Luis suggests that he try to remember what he was doing before he got here. Biff remembers that he and Sully were driving down Nelson Avenue when their truck stopped moving. Biff asked Sully what the problem was, and they found out that the truck had a flat tire. They didn’t have a spare, so Biff walked to Sesame Street to ask Luis if he can borrow his tire pump and patches. Luis lends them to Biff, and commends him for using his memory so well.

As Big Bird searches for some food, Cookie realizes that he has some snacks right under his nose: his sleeping bag and pillow! But he’s still hungry, and asks Big Bird for more things to eat.

Film: The letter T is a very useful letter…

Scene 6: The camera cuts to a pile of feathers and fabric from Cookie Monster’s pillow and sleeping bag. Big Bird desperately tries to satisfy Cookie’s appetite by offering him the lampshade, which the monster loudly devours. Gordon comes to the window after hearing the commotion, and Big Bird explains the situation: “What should I do, Gordon? The only things I haven’t offered him yet are cookies!” Gordon: “Well, as a matter of fact, I have a box of cookies in my kitchen.” Big Bird frantically tells Gordon to bring out the box of cookies.

Cartoon: A hand draws a telephone booth

Muppets: The Count’s bats are on strike because they never get to count. The Count “fixes” the problem by letting them count all the Counts in the room…but there’s only one Count. Then the Count counts all his bats, getting the last laugh.

Cartoon: A girl uses her paint-by-numbers set to find an elephant in her picture

Muppets: At night, Ernie is thirsty, so he imagines drinking a glass of water. Bert tells him to go get a real glass of water, but after Ernie drinks it, he’s hungry…so he imagines eating a peanut butter sandwich.
