I was wondering if anybody might know what the first thing Sesame Street came out with as in for merchandise? If anybody knows or might know what they started with as in Books, toys and games. Post it right here.

I believe the earliest merchandise you could purchase in the stores was the 1970 LP, "The Sesame Street Book and Record". A Sesame Street Learning Kit was also published in early 1970 which included the original hardback releases of five books (Letters, Numbers, People and Things, Puzzles, Shapes), two posters, and episode guides and teaching objectives for the first season. The same record as mentioned above was also included in the kit (without the book).

You shouldn't have too much trouble finding the Sesame Street Book & Record LP and the hardcover Time-Life books on eBay. If they're not up for auction today, they could be up soon.
