I'm really not surprised. Bert and Ernie are very much secondary characters on the tv show now. It's all about the monsters.

Yeah, its like the newer muppets have overtaken the classic ones. Only ones still holding there own are Grover and Cookie it seems. And Big Bird to a certain extent.

Oh my... I have a chance to see this show. I'm attending school here in Kalamazoo & it's coming here in November. Only if I could find some friends who are willing to go with me...*sigh* it's hard being a muppet fan sometimes.

I kind of like it. Given, it's not the best arrangement - especially for a live show- but it does keep up with the times & current SS.
