Back in the 1970s,my childhood days of watching Sesame Street,I recall Lewiess,Maria,Bob,Susan,Gordon,David,Big Bird and[much to his displeasure]Oscar all driving down to Mexico for a vacation.Mr.Hooper remained on Sesame Street and recieved a postcard from the gang in Mexico. So episodes of this group of characters took place in Mexico, where I think they stayed on a farm. With their share of Mexican adventures. For awhile we sort of had a Mexican Sesame Street.Anyone else remember it? :stick_out_tongue: :frown:

Hi:

I remember. The week-long group of episodes is where Sesame Street went to NEW MEXICO to visit Buffy's family, around 1977 or so. (Funny, cause they went to visit Buffy also in Hawaii, but that was a year later).

Noggin never showed these episodes, but you can see clips of these shows on various SESAME STREET anniversary shows.

Yes, that was Season 23 when they went to Montana, shows 2882-2885 And I think it was NEW Mexico that they went to, not Mexico, and that was Season 7, shows 810-815.

The New Mexico shows were from 1975.

Again, such perfect timing on CTW's part. #796 debuted on 12/1/75, so this means #810-815 aired RIGHT AROUND CHRISTMAS. The same thing happened with the Hawaii shows and the Miles adoption saga.

You're right! But in a way, it may not be the best idea. Because the show where they actually adopted Miles would have aired ON Christmas Day, and not many people are watching on that day, are they. In fact, some PBS stations pre-empt it. I remember the Season 32 premiere was on 1/1/2001, which was a bad idea, because many PBS stations ran specials and marathons, completely ignoring the fact that it was a new season. :frown:
