I thought I saw the Professor Hastings U lecture listed in the "first season show content" documents from the CTW Archives. Guess the Mandela Effect hit me.

I’m also pretty sure the workshop would have stuck with having Ernie alongside Hastings had they decided to translate the song for television; Ernie even mentions his name right from the start.

I never knew it was just a regular skit until yesterday. In the past, I always thought it was a filmed version with Kermit in Ernie's place, or even recently from the trusted sources, I also thought there was a filmed version with Ernie and Professor Hastings. Welp, that screenshot debunks it.
