I wonder how much more it would have cost to either include one more episode or one more disc with 2-3 more episodes. I wonder if more episodes would have meant less-to-zero bonus skits and no original pilot pitch. And if Sesame Workshop decided to release more episodes on future volumes, I wonder if the cost would increase. The first three volumes of SCTV had five discs and nine episodes each (and those volumes included the 90-minute NBC episodes, so each disc had nearly three hours plus bonus material on each disc. The Old School set could have had three episodes on each disc), but volume four had six discs and twelve episodes but (at least from what I've read) it cost the same price as the first three sets. The second season set of Rocky and Bullwinkle had four double-sided discs, while the first and third seasons were single-sided (and I guess the second season had twice as many episodes as the other seasons), but that set cost the same as the other sets.

I hope that we don't have to wait too long for an official announcement for volume two, and I hope we don't have to wait as long to know what episodes or bonus features are included, and I definately hope we don't have to wait as long for the second volume to actually be released.
