Does anyone remember the skits where full sized versions of the Muppets ice skated?
The first had Bert in bed suffering from insomnia. Ernie suggests he imagine ice skating. So Bert does. And it showed a full sized Bert skating across an ice skating rink with beautiful music playing. And it flashes back to Bert asleep in bed.
The next had Bert and Betty Lou ice skating together.
The next had The Count skating and ends it with lightning and shouting. "One skating Count!"
The next had Grover and Cookie Monster skating.
The next had Big Bird and Snuffy skating. Only Snuffy kept falling down until he finally got it right.
One had Grover on the ice and Kermit's voice telling him to demonstrate near and far many times. Grover kept skating near and far so much that he became tired and fell down. Then the screen went black and you can hear ice cracking and water splashing and Kermit shouting, "Grover, get out of that water!" I didn't think those indoor skating rinks had water underneath the ice.
The final had Oscar skating around with his feet sticking out of his can, then sits down. Oscar rises from his can and blows a whistle. One by one, the full sized Muppets came skating into the rink in this order. Bert, Betty Lou, The Count, Grover, Big Bird, and Cookie Monster. They were wondering where the whistling was coming from. Then they found Oscar's can and they all skated over banging angrily on Oscar's trash can lid.
