I would argue they are all pretty creepy and very obviously cheaply made knock off costumes.

That Minnie Mouse was pretty decent looking though

My friend and I were in Time Square yesterday and this Elmo mascot walked up to us in this creepy high voice going, "Hey I'm Elmo, want a hug?!" We promptly said, "No thanks!" and walked away, lol.

It's Pancho, the Mexican equivilant of Oscar from PLAZA SESAMO.

No... Bodoque was the equivillant of Oscar. Pancho has some of Oscar's non-grouchy characteristics (liking raw onions as food is similar to something Oscar would do, also he has a pet elephant seen only from the trunk), but over all is closer to Herry than Oscar.

I've been saying this for ages, I hate when I see naive parents letting their kids hug or take pictures with those people.

New York City is not Disney World, people. You need to be careful and use some common sense, lol.
It bothers me that tourists come to NYC just to walk around Times Square and go into stores. You're in NYC, one of the greatest cities in the world! There are so many other things that the city has to offer yet people for the reasons I can't understand traipse around Times Square, the M&M's store and Toys R' Us?? I just don't get it.

But yeah, those costumed Muppet and Disney characters are creepy. My sister and I were in the city on Sunday and had an Elmo trying to get us to come over to him. We just walked by and said "No Thank you" I've been working in NYC for going on 12 years, my sister was working in NYC for about 3, we know all the tourist trap tricks at this point.
