And that last pic of the full EM set looks amazing, even if Zoot does look like he's got his sax wedged up his nose.
The real reason the last note on the show always sounded funky.

Thanks! That's quite a compliment, and I really appreciate it. BTW, I figured out that I messed up on Janice - she's left handed.

Pepe's head is terrible.
Isn't that a little harsh? I mean, you might find it disappointing, but it is far from "terrible". I have him on my desk right now and he's very good. The paint aps on the eyes are lack-luster, but that's an easy tweak.

A little late maybe, but I saw a pic of the Vacation Pepe figure, and I thought "hey, why is this one looking so great, while the normal version is so terrible"
Well, compare these pics:

See what I meant? Micheal just bought a badly painted Pepe.

Sheesh... 16 bucks for Vacation Pepe...

Yeah, so I really want the variants, but 16 bucks is a little steep for a snorkel and shorts. I personally don't see a difference on the head sculpt of Pepe, and am very pleased with it.
Micheal, your photos are AWESOME. The full shot of EM made me a little misty-eyed. I can't wait to get Animal (don't ask, it's a long story) so I can set em up myself. Lemme say I appreciate the time and effort you put into your reviews.

And Crazy Harry, that pic under your name of Crazy Harry/ Hamburglar made me nearly pee myself!!! I laughed for half an hour man!!! Thanks!!! now I gotta hit Suncoast for a clearance Harry to mod him... Too funny.

Well none of the Pepe's out there look like the prototype shown at Amazon. Michael's Pepe is actually quite good as far as paint goes. Vaca Pepe will have differently painted eyes that will look better.

That particular version could definitely be better, but it is far from terrible. There isn't anything "terrible" about any of the figures. Some may disappoint more than others and that could possibly be a more accurate assessment. Terrible is such a loaded word that I often reserve for something truly ghastly. The Jack in the Box Pepe has a pretty awful facial likeness. Maybe the term is better placed there. Personally, I haven't seen a better Pepe than Palisades' figure on the market.

Pepe does have beady eyes, not doe eyes like the prototype, but they weren’t painted evenly. That could easily be fixed with a sharpie. Word is Vacation Pepe won’t have this problem. Ken is reportedly livid at the factory’s paint aps in this wave after they were so perfect on four. Anyway, these figures look much different in person.

I know he is not terrible, sheesh, don't go serious man. I was only freaked out by his ugly eyes. Eyes have a big influence on my opninion about a figure. Really, if the eyes are ugly, I find the whole head ugly. But I won't buy a figure without checking the eyes.

Yep, the one I have is pretty representative of the actual figures. I like him, but he does have some googly eyes I suppose. It didn't jump out at me at first, but I may have been simply bedazzled by the accessories.
