Series 5 review

Series 5 of the Muppets are hitting Targets and on-line stores right now. When I first heard this line up, I was meh. My only real favorite out of the set was Pepe, and while it was nice to have a new Gonzo and Janice to finish off the Mayhem, I wasn't waiting outside my local Target at 8am.

That was before I had them in my hands. I'm telling you now, Series 5 is the best overall series they've done. The figures all look fantastic, the articulation is excellent, and the accessory quality, number and features are out of this world. I'm still in shock. Oh, and after that paragraph you won't be surprised to see the whole line get four stars, only the 13th figure or set to get that this year.

Great review! I've said it before and I'll say it again: You do excellent work w/ a camera! I think your pictures are so much better than any "official site" pics. And your review is really good too. I want those figures soooo much!

I said it over at Palisades but it's worth saying again - fantastic review Michael. I really like reading your reviews - not least of which because you are not afraid to be honest, buy the majority of these figures yourself, and take the best photos out there. The pictures of Newsman are particularly good.

Fantastic review and photos as always. One small thing - Fozzie is misspelled as "Fozzy" in the Pepe description paragraph - eeek! Darn that spell check.

Good, very good review. I like the close-up pics. Now we can see that Pepe's head is terrible. I didn't notice it yet. And man, what an extremely great figure is that newsman.

I've been waiting for that review all week.
I've unfortunately had to limit myself to only getting two of the figures. Janice was a definite cos I need her to complete the EM set, and the other was going to be either Pepe or the Newsman. I think those pics have definitely swayed me in favour of the Newsman.

And that last pic of the full EM set looks amazing, even if Zoot does look like he's got his sax wedged up his nose.
