Series 2 Alpha-Countdown

Here are the next three on my list.
23. Bert washes and waxes his National W Lover's Club sweater inside a washtub filled with warm water.
22. The Count von Count counts eight vintage vegetables as he views his bats playing with a vine-tangled V.
21. Ethel Mermaid sits inside her letter U above the undertoe and plays a lulling melody on a unique ukulele.

This means that there's less than three weeks to go until S2 arrives here at Puerto Rico!

This evening the ladies at customer service told me that they have no way to look up any information (including arrival date) on a product that hasn't actually arrived in the store yet. Now that's customer service.

I reiterate. If this were anything BUT the Muppets, they'd be crapping all over themselves trying to get it on shelves. Eeeeeyyyyyeeeeewww! I just grossed myself out!

hate to disagree, but she's right....well sorta right. They really have no way of knowing unless it's in their wareouse. You can ask them to check the computer to see if it's in their warehouse. If it's not there then they really don't know. They're not psychic, there' no message form Palisades saying "congratulations, we've just sent you your Muppet figures! they should be their on the 15th!" It's just not possible!! I work at a KidsRUs and believe me when I say.....the employees CAN NOT KNOW WHAT IS COMING IN UNTIL IT IS IN OUR BACK ROOM! It's not possible! So let's lay off the TRU employees a little ok? A lot of 'em are good peple who work very hard and get paid miserably.

One other thing, if you're going to ask someon to check the computer, it's best to go to customer service and not someon on the lfoor. if you go to customer servi e it means you'll get an employee who has been trained there. So you're woman on the lfoor may be tellingthe truth....she may have no way of checking the computerand depending on how long she's been there, she may not even stop to consider that an option. She not an idiot...she may just be new.

Anyway, let's just chill out a bit ok? I said this on Series 1 and I'll say it again here and probably again when series 3 rolls out. I want these figs as much as anybody (Fozzie and Floyd are two of my all time faves) but wether there are figds on the shelf or not, tommorow the sun will come up I'll get up and feed the cat and life will go on. So please, we're almost there...be patient. Rememebr it just pieces of plastic (albeit awesome-shaped pieces of plastic, but pieces of plastic nonetheless)

Series 2 Alpha-Countdown

Here are the next four entries in my countdown until the release of Series 2.
20. Telly monster triumphantly plays his tuba and toys with three terrific triangles under the shade of a T-shaped telephone post.
19. Sammy the Snake, the striped snake, slurps down a bowl of succulently seasoned soup after singing for his supper by sounding off a slow smoky S-row.
18. Roosevelt Franklin races remote-controlled cars listinening to rock and roll music from a radio marked by a letter R on its cassette door.
17. Guy Smiley hosts a quirky quiz show where contestants must answer a series of quick questions about the letter Q whenever it shows up on the monitor next to him.

We're nearing the two-weeks left marker!

Matt and others are completely right. Whether they say two weeks or whatever - they actually are just giving you a vague guess of what they think might be right. They are trained to get you to come back to the shop to see and not go anywhere else and if they aren't there they just give out another excuse. I wouldn't make any countdowns to the day or anything - just act suprised when they really do turn up ! LOL !

i used to work at TRU. i used to be the guy at the CS desk. i know they have a new computer system now that they can apparantly look things up on now, but not all the stores have it yet, and it's still a crapshoot as to wether the info's right. (i have friends that still work there)

furthermore, as i have learned in my time at TRU, my time as a receiver for Zany Brainy, and my time spent watching people make Ken jump through hoops when series 1 was coming out, you NEVER give an exact date as to when things will be there. until they get to you, you have no control as to when they'll make it to the shelves, and if you tell people an exact date, and it's not there by then, then it's perceived as your fault. even though it's not.

I think for series 3 we should get him to motorcycle through flaming hoops, steal the skirts of three cheerleaders as he passes by, and then land in a bucket of Gorilla goo.
