September 24: Celebrating Jim Henson and Steve Whitmire

As Muppet fans know, September 24 is a special day in Muppet history. Not only is it Jim Henson's birthday (he would've been 88 today), but it is also Steve Whitmire's birthday who would take over for Jim Henson as Kermit the Frog beginning in 1990 through 2016. In honor of these two wonderful men, celebrate life and the people who make a difference in yours.

Having just gone through the wringer with Covid, this video made me feel a lot better. I'm so glad Disney, The Jim Henson Company, and Sesame Workshop, agreed to allow characters from The Muppets, Fraggle Rock, and Sesame Street to interact with each other in this very special video.

I loved that video and I never expected to see them share the screen again!

I must say, Matt has definitely gotten better with Kermit. It’s still taking me time to get used to - even though it’s been 7 years now! Somebody pointed that out recently and oh my god, it’s depressing! But anyhoo, I do still miss Steve and what he brought to the table.
