It's interesting you specify this ride. I've been to Disney World in Florida about five times. When I first went at age 6 this ride, simply called "Snow White", scared me badly because of that frequent popping out of the witch. When I was at Disney World again at age 11 the ride was now called, "Snow White's Scary Ride". I thought I'd be brave enough for it this time but ended up closing my eyes through the whole ride. Then the next time I was there I was 14 and this time there was a sign where the lines to the ride were that said, "The witch appears at various places in this ride. Children may be frightened." And then I think the ride may have been taken out altogether at Disney World, but can't recall for sure.BEAR said:You might find this silly and it is a bit embarassing, but I am afraid of the Snow White's Scary Adventures at Disneyland. It's the witch, I can't handle it. She pops up unexpectedly around every corner looking at you with those big buldging out buggy eyes and creepy grin! There is only one happy part of that whole ride which is at the very beginning with the Dwarfs. The rest is horror. Anyone else feel me so i don't feel like a big 23 year old loser who is afraid of a little thing like that? I mean, come on! That is not even something you should take your children on. It would terrify them. To me, the Haunted Mansion is a day at the beach compared to that. I think its the witch thing. Since I was a small child, witches (scary ones, of course, not Samantha) have scared me.
Also interestingly, I also went in The Haunted Mansion at age six and LOVED it! My brother was scared, though, when he went through that one room where the little ghosts pop up from behind the tombstones and scream. I think it was the loudness that frightened him more than anything else.
My all time favorite ride there is "The Pirates of the Caribbean". Sadly, I heard that this ride has now become "politically correct" by ceasing the pirates chasing the ladies part. Also, heard the slide down the waterfall is much shorter.
Here's a news story I just saw a little while ago too, about a 16 yr old girl shaken up today after riding "The Tower of Terror". In the article it also says an elederly woman died earlier this year after riding "The Pirates of the Caribbean". I wouldn't think the ride had anything to do with it but probably she just happened to go while in the ride. Unless it somehow affected a weak heart she had.
