I've currently set out rat traps for it, and I'm hoping it will DIE soon.

Wow, that actually disgusted me a bit.
You can actually bring yourselves to kill an animal like that, I don't care if it is a rat.
Have you ever had to pick up a mouse or rat trap with the poor creature, neck crushed?

I'm sorry about your puppet, but there are Humane Ways to catch them and release them outside.
I drew this up, just in case you choose to go the Humane way.

...dude. The rat died from eating the puppet foam. IT freaking DESTROYED nearly $30 worth of foam, then ate my puppet partially, and it ate through one of my winter dresses. Of course I'm ticked off!

Now, I like the little animals too, but I'm not some PETA enthusiest. Unless it's someone's pet white mouse/rat, I don't let wild pests into my house. I just set out traps, and I figured it would die soon anyways, cause it ate so much puppet foam too.

No matter how sweet Jim was. I believe he'd go after that thing with a shotgun. Considering how expensive it is to make one of those things too. Tina cost me $50 to make that day, and we had to make her ourselves. I mean...my mother sewed that puppet for me! ..Even hand embrodiered my initals on her bottom.

So yeah, I was furious when I found out that a rat had pretty much destroyed my puppet. And it's beyond repair now. Only thing left are her legs, which weren't attached yet, and in another box in a drawer somewhere. (Still haven't found 'em yet though.) So I'm going to have to rebuild my puppet. Pull out my pattern, hope to god above I can find more riticulated foam at a cheapish price (the lady had provided muppet-quality foam when we made her, as well as antron fleece.), some of that antron fleece, and new parts.

So, begins another project to keep me busy mentally. At least it'll keep my mind offa what's happening to me lately.

I'll also keep in mind the ice cream bucket/rubber gasket flexible mouthboard. I have a friend who works for a rubber/plastic company, so she might be able to get ahold of some rubber gasket sheets or something for me.

Yeah. I had them in a plastic storage container! The thing must've had a crack in the lid, or was not that hard to keep shut, cause it still got in there. But the extra foam was just laid in the closet...can't believe Mom would have just done that. She stored that stuff in her room, cause that's also the sewing room too...Oh well. I guess I learned an expensive lesson these past couple of days. XD
