Sadly, it appears that Noggin / The N / Nickelodeon Lite / (insert your own title here) has revamped its schedule yet again as of January 25.

The Electric Company is GONE.

Sesame Street Unpaved is down to ONCE a week now, 4:00 AM EST early monday morning. My DirecTV schedule does not extend far beyond a week, so it is hard to say how long this may continue. I'd say Sesame Street Unpaved is just one more programming decision from oblivion.

Uh...on February 1 and 2 (Sat. and Sun. mornings), SSU was on, bookended by TEC...you said this was effective JANUARY 25? Well, it must not have been a change; it was on last weekend just as usual...

The original report I read off of the Nick website said it started on Jan 25... I checked myself and you're right... the changes actually take place this week. Still, the announcement stands, I'm sorry to say...

I know, this is very sad. We tried setting up a petition to get them to keep it, but we just couldn't get enough signatures. I mean, it was great while it lasted for a good 4 years. But it just didn't work. So I guess it's gone forever!! (cries really hard)

There really isn't anything we can do, and I can actually explain why they have phased it out.

See, the thing is, the channel isn't really Noggin anymore. I mean, Noggin is only during the day from 6 am to 6 pm, for preschoolers, and from 6 pm on, it's called "The N", which is for older kids and young teens. SSU and TEC don't go with either of those. They were for preschoolers 25 years ago, but the stupid program director at Noggin says that they're not for anyone anymore. They're outdated, and useless. And I do not agree at all. I personally thought that was a bad decision myself.

And also, I didn't even think it was a good idea that they revamped Noggin like this, I think there should be a CTW channel, so CTW would have a channel all by themselves, but that would be completely unfeasible. Maybe a DVD collection?

Well, let's just have our moments to say good-bye to the very memorable Sesame Street Unpaved series.

(1 minute moment of silence )

But it's not gone yet!!! It's still on once a week...it's NOT time to mourn it leaving Noggin if it's still there...

And an all-CTW channel was in the works...but they needed funding, and guess who stepped up to fund (and control 50% (now 100%) of) it?

Yeah! This undoubtedly reaks!!!! I personally don't have cable, but I am finding less and less reason to start getting it.

Do we really need same day reruns of "Clarissa is a Pain to all" and "Sallute our short run?" NO! There was a REASON why they cancelled those show, no one liked or bothered with them anymore!

But I think those shows are very popular with "The N's" audience. And Sesame Street Unpaved was never all that popular to begin with. But I mean, they are coming out with new channels all the time. My cable company adds 3 new channels like every month. That's why I thought there could be a CTW channel, but if they already tried it, then, I guess it won't work.

Alright...let me get this straight. If I had the desire to tape Unpaved, I would then set my VCR on Sunday night before I went to bed so that the next morning I would wake up and be able to watch what I had taped early that morning.

I'm sorry I'm being obvious but I just want to be sure I understand Mondays at 3:00 am.
