Dilbert actually lasted a full 2 seasons. Considering everything else lasted half a season, that's pretty sweet. But then again, Fox did pass on that show, and UPN got it.

Kind of like the way UPN tuned down Malcolm In The Middle and fox picked it up. Or the way FOX turned down the show Everybody Hates Chris because that said that had one too many one camera show at a time were they were being canceled on there network left and right and UPN picked it up instead. There was another show I can't think of that was pitched to CBS and it went to UPN instead, but they shared some of the same executives.

I watched the newest episode just an hour ago. I really enjoyed this one. I missed the last one. I was wondering did the last part of the last episode that aired have his twin half brothers showing up at the end of the episode?

Well, looks like it is getting canceled after all. I hope there is a DVD release.

If ABC cancels i hope to hear that another network picks it up and starts creating new shows. This seems to happen to a show that really start to like. I've watched ever since it aired. I was thinking this will finally be a show that'll watch anytime i can catch it. And now it's going to get canceled.

ok... this prompted me to go do a little digging.. and over on pushingdaisies-tv.com i found the following, which indicates there is still some hope.. (so keep mailing them all things daisies!):

Season 2 Done, work on Season 3 to start in May!

By PD TV • November 10, 2008 • 2 Comments
season-2-done-work-on-season-3-to-start-in-may

Just got word from my source on PD and it’s some pretty good news:

“So, we got some news this AM. Keep in mind, this could very well change. At any moment. But as of now, we are ‘going down for the season’. Which means that they are planning on starting us back in May for Season 3.

If you can, please let the fans know that they SHOULDN’T stop sending things to ABC. The more that people speak out, the better the chances of us returning. If it gets too quiet, they will pull the plug b/f we get a chance to start season 3. ABC is listening to everyone. And EVERYONE knows of your site.”

What that means is that Season 2 will only be 13 episodes. When Pushing Daisies ends production on the 13th episode of the season 2, they will be done until May, when they will start production on Season 3. While this is great news, we still need to let ABC know, now more than ever, that we can’t live without this show!

I support fewer well produced shows over a full season of bumping it around the ABC lineup where it could easily be killed. Since it is a Warners produced show the ratings are crucial to ABC. Personally I would like to see this get at least a third season. I would consider it a success if it did, yet I still hope for more. It really is a great show. Morbid as it is it makes me feel good about life at the end of every episode. That can't be said for most television.
