And just in case nobody was aware, Ralph Bighead was voiced by the show's creator, Joe Murray.Yeah I remember you doing that, Kiki! Hi, btw! Hehe
I also remember the Big Head's son who made it big in show business and refused to work at his father's company Conglomo, lol. Man, I haven't thought of that in ages!
Mr. Bighead (seeing that his son kept the company doughnut):: You...you kept it! You do care about Conglomo!
Son: No, I don't care about Conglomo...I care about you...
Even on a crazy show like Rocko, that was touching.
Long time no see! it's so nice to see you!Hi guys, how ya doin'? Good to be back, and it's so nice to see you guys again. Anywho's, I better not muffin this thread. I also replied to my 'ello's!' thread a few days back.
"I am the cheese...' I remember that! Oh..memories!
I give Joe credit for getting back most of the voice actors (At least Carlos and Tom) but he really should have got back the writers too. It's not that I hate Lazlo. It just could be much, much funnier. Plus, I'm getting bored with people doing bad Indian accents (the elephant) for cheap laughs. But I do like the character designs. That's about it.Yeah! Camp Lazlo is like a watered down not as funny Rocko
Other than Ren and Stimpy, all the DVD's have been of current shows, like Avatar and Fairly Oddparents. And even then, the Avatar box sets are basically just collected volumes of the regular single disk DVD's. FOP is not in Box set form. Spongebob and Ren and Stimpy were the only box set collected season by season disks. Unless you count Invaider Zim, which was handled by another company, sublicensed from Nick.Ok, I know that everybody is wondering where the heck the Rocko's Modern Life DVDs are? In fact, what about the other Nicktoons on DVD? Where are they at? I mean, other than Spongebob, and the occasional best-of episodes of Rugrats, and some of their newer shows, there aren't ANY Nicktoons on DVD.
They won't let them. There are some soubversive things if you look really, really hard for them. I think the major problem is that networks just don't give animators, cartoonists, etc. the chance to make these cartoons for the multiple problems I ranted about a million times already. So, in the event of scrambling for ratings, they always seem to get quick fix, terrible ideas (My Gym Partner's a Monkey and Squirrel Boy for example- though Squirrel Boy was created by Everrett Peck, and I do want to see one episode eventually), instead of long term successful TV shows. And I think the quality of the work drastically suffers.I used to LOVE that show, it's a great show. My friend and I still quote one of the episodes when Filbert and Rocko are pretending to be married and their fighting and they answer the door to the INS agent and they go "What in the Hellllo?" *sigh* They don't make shows like that anymore.
Yeah, I meant that one. And it makes sense that they would all be on a Mo Willems cartoon as he is a former writer, and current director and animator for Sesame Street. And Mrs. Buzzi still does shorts of his on SS, too.It wasn't Cow and Chicken that had puppeteers, it was the other Cartoon Network show, Sheep in the Big City. It was created by Sesame Street cartoonist, Mo Willems and he had a few Sesame Street cast members do voices on that series like Ruth Buzzi, Joey Mazzarino, James Godwin, Fran Brill, Stephanie D'Abruzzo, and one time Jerry Nelson.
Good to know that great show are heavily in demand! The only cartoon I could think of that is anywhere close to Rocko is Family Guy and that's a half-hour show. I looked on TVshowsonDVD.com and they have Rocko ranked 25th in unreleased DVDs that people want. 99% of em want a season set. So, what does THAT tell you. There were only 50-something episodes. Salute Your Shorts was in the top 10 and there were only 20-something episodes of that. Just make a fricken complete series DVD. I'm sure that the cast can provide extras and commentarty. A where are they now featurette would be AWESOME.
