Tim Curry just passed away today on August 25 2026

Curry gave quite possibly the greatest human performance in a Muppet film, an absolute legend.

Wanting to give my own thoughts on his passing, but yeah, this one absolutely hurts. He had a stroke so I figured his health would catch up with him sooner or later, but it absolutely hurts he’s gone now. He was a big part of my childhood both in live action stuff and especially voice over animation work and it’s a shame to know 14 years after his career-ending stroke, his life officially has been taken away.

All I can say is I’m grateful for the entertainment he’s brought us both as villains and heroes, especially with his iconic English voice. May he R.I.P

And exactly a quarter of a century after R&B singer Aaliyah died.
