I seriously wanted to cry as soon as I heard this. I guess it was to be expected, but still, I was very heartbroken.

I still remember back in the early 2000's coming home from elementary school to watch a new episode of SpongeBob on a Friday night. Definitely gave me something to look forward to.

ALS sucks and 57 is such a young age.

Spongebob was a part of my childhood as well. Don’t watch it as much anymore like I used to, but do like watching the old episodes every here and there.

This is heartbreaking, especially as someone who really loves (classic) SpongeBob.

Stephen was only 57, too. Why do so many great people have to be taken so early? He will definitely be missed. R.I.P.
