This was already brought up on the RIP Muppet Show Guests thread, but since she was also a regular on Sesame Street, I felt it was appropriate to put here too.

Yeah, it was bound to happen sooner or later honestly but it’s definitely heartbreaking as well. Ruthie was honestly a favorite of mine during the ATC era and it’s sad to read all of this. 😞

Ruthie was a nice addition to the cast. I just wish she could have stayed on longer. She stayed after around the corner was gone but there's so much she could have done in the later seasons. I could see her being the Laundromat owner instead of Leela or Nina. Anyways RIP Ruthie. You definitely were a good part of the show.

Yeah, I just got the news on Facebook. She was great in SS and TMS and as Delilah/Fred in "Good Will Haunting" for all you Sabrina fans.

Sad, but after her series of strokes, I had a feeling she was going to leave us sooner or later. She will be greatly missed.

I watched the Muppet Show episode she guest-starred in last night; she was great in that. Though I didn't watch much of the "Around the Corner" era of "Sesame Street", I did enjoy Ruthie, and she also remained on the show until after Season 32.
I'm working on a YTP of "The Berenstain Bears and the Messy Room" in memory of her, with Mama Bear's infamous losing her temper!
