The actor who portrayed General Luft from Muppets From Space has passed away. I'll always remember him for his guest appearance on M*A*S*H as Col. Daniel Webster Tucker.

He had a long and varied career; he played Commissioner Gordon in Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.

RIP Pat.

Thanks for the tidbit Winslow, which is interesting timing as just a few hours ago we were discussing these movies as we watched Dark Night and the differences in the series approach now.

The only time I liked Hingle was in the first Batman movie with Jack as the Joker. I thought Hingle made Gordon a no nonsense get the job done character.

But Gordon got goofier as the Batman series movies went on.

May he rest in peace, Mr. Hingle was a great actor. I particularly enjoyed him as Comissioner Gordon in the first round of "Batman" films.
