To be honest, I didn't know anything about him except for a line of a song called Godzilla Geneaology Bop from MST3K.

Was he the priest in Pollyanna? I saw that movie a lot as a kid. But at least he lived a full life :frown:

Also, RIP Mollie Sugden. She was awesome!

What really impressed me when I heard about his passing on the news was that he was married to his wife for 70 years. That's wonderful. It seemed like he lived a good life.

I want to mention Karl Malden's charmy performance as the Walrus in the 1986 all star film version of Alice in Wonderland. :smile:

I do remember him from Pollyanna, a very strong, heartfelt performance. Really ralling at people at Church and then having the change of heart and all.

It's sad when so many of the old school stars disapear, they really don't train actors to reach their stature anymore.
