Well said Beakerfan.
He made many films and was in some great shows...and if he was only in M.A.S.H. he would still be the legend he is - he was so great in that one of a kind show. RIP

Not only was he in M*A*S*H but he was also Friday's partner in Dragnet. I raise my martini glass(or in this case, a grape nee-hi) to the ol' Col.(or General, in the M*A*S*H season 3 premiere "The General Flipped at Dawn".) and may he ride off into the sunset on his horse Sophie and may he RIP

I'm a little surprised we haven't heard from Snowthy yet.
If you haven't read by now, I'm dealing with the after effects of a nasty virus that has corrupted my computer.

But yes, I too am really sad about Harry Morgan's passing... he seemed like Abe Vigoda for a while there, y'know? Like nothing could kill him, but then again, you have to remember what Margaret Houlihan once said: "Everybody has to die sometime." The weekend of his passing, I donned my M*A*S*H cosplay in his honor.

The sad thing is, we've been losing a lot of M*A*S*H people these past couple of years, mostly like guest actors, and behind-the-scenes people... like creator Larry Gelbart two years ago; last year we lost Roy Goldman (corpsman all eleven years who rarely spoke); this year, along with Harry Morgan, we've lost directors Charles Dubin and Jackie Cooper.

Luckily, we have this terrific show to keep the legacy alive and remember those who contributed to it's success.

And Daniel's right, he also reprised his role (promoted to District Captain) in Dan Aykroyd's movie remake of Dragnet.
