I also thought she was already dead.

I know that when The Mickey Mouse Club had ended she was given a movie contract with Disney, and in fact was the only Mousekateer to get such a contract. But are any of her Disney films very well-known with audiences? She's remembered for the MMC and beach movies, but I don't know what Disney movies she was in off-hand.

A few weeks ago I saw The Monkees' "Head" on TV, a really bizarre movie from the late 60s in which Annette makes a cameo as a girl trying to commit suicide, if I remember correctly. Besides that I didn't see much of her before. But she seems like a great talent. Shame to hear she's gone.

How could I forget? I also know her from the 1961 Babes in Toyland film. I still have the VHS recording from Christmas 1989, lol. She was so pretty in that film, I always wanted to look like her.
