Richard's More Than Henson's?

Is it just me, or have waaayyy more of Richard Hunt's character's been reused than Jim Henson's characters? I mean, we've seen brand new Beaker, Scooter, Janice, and Statler. But we have yet to see a new Link Hogthrob, Rowlf, Newsman, Guy Smiley, and many other great Henson muppets

Link has appeared in the background here and there including MTI.

Bill was also Rowlf in MTI, MFS, VMX and the The Muppet Show Live. Brian Henson performed the Muppet Newsman in The Muppet Show Live as well.

Rowlf didn't really speak in MTI. He is seen with Robin walking out of the inn at the beginning of the film. Bill Barretta first voiced Rowlf in the Garth Brooks episode of Muppets Tonight which aired in March 1996.

Link was also in Muppets from space, he was in a very quick shot but still was in the movie. I like the muppet newsman and guy smiley, it would be nice to see more of them but I know why they dont use them very often, its just hard to get even close to how jim did it. He did them so well!

True, but Bill was still Rowlf just the same.

It might be in the deleted scenes of the muppets from space DVD, I will have a look, it could be different to the US version though!
