I think for me, it has always been a case of you can't officially buy many full size accurate muppet or sesame street replicas so if you want one, then you've got to do it yourself.

I would imagine most builders weather professional or otherwise have at some point attempted a replica

id like to add to this that ive seen replicas of Yoda technically he is a puppet so people make replicas of everything and its not just muppets
