Thanks for your help Phillip, I knew it was in 1990 and I also knew that Jim was 53 but I just didnt know the exact date, I'll remember it forever now.

Is it not too late to post our Jim memories? :sympathy:
Jim influenced me in lots of ways. Not only were his characters big influences on my life, and the characters I create, but Jim himself was a big example to me. I will nevber forget how he did what he wanted to do, even when nobody else believed in him, even when it looked like it would never happen. Remembering the fact that probably nobody ever thought a little green puppet made out of Jim's mother's coat would ever become a cultural icon has given me hope when I feel like I'll never accomplish my dreams. Whenever I think it's hopeless, and I'll never get to do it, I always sing "The Magic Store", and the rest of the ending of that song and it helps to inspire me. ("....and then somebody out there loves you, stands up and hollers for more...You found your place at the Magic Store.")
I hope I'll make it someday.
