True heralde, very tru, it really is a timeless movie, despite the hints of the times as they mentioned; the commentary was very insightful, and I wish they would do a special edition of the other two movies.

Another thing that amazes me is how Hughes managed to write the script over a weekend; that's quite remarkable to me to be able to conceive a screenplay for a two-hour movie in just a weekend... it took me a few days to finish the pilot script for my puppet sitcom, lol.

Speaking of which, I wonder if Chris Colombus and Mac Culkin were serious about Hughes writing a script in which Harry and Marv went straight, lol.

That is incredible; I mean he had already done several projects before Home Alone, but still a weekend is impressive for any writer considering how great it ultimtely turned out!

Oh yeah! I for one definitely would have paid to see that, lol.

You know, I wouldn't mind seeing Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern working together again sometime, they played off of each other so well.

HARRY: What store's gonna make the most cash on Christmas Eve that nobody's gonna think to rob?
MARV: Candy stores!
HARRY: *Pause* NINE-year-olds rob candy stores, Marv!

Harry: We'll go thru the back. Maybe the kid will let us in, you never know.

Marv: Yeah. He's a kid. Kids are stupid.

Lol, one of my favorite parts. If I recall correctly, that last line by Marv was originally supposed to be followed with "I know I was!" But that line sort of ends up ruining the joke; it makes Marv seem almost smart and too aware, hehe. Whereas, as it is in the final film, we laugh at Marv's complete cluelessness.

Yeah, I think being the stupid(er) one fits Marv better.

HARRY: You smell that?
MARV: *Sniff* Yeah.
HARRY: You know what that is?
MARV: Fish.
HARRY: It's freedom!
MARV: No, it's fish.
HARRY: It's FREEDOM! And it's money!
MARV: Okay, okay, it's freedom... and it's money...
HARRY: Come on, let's get out of here...
MARV: ... And it's fish!
