Wow what a sad year this is turning out to be. She may have been a bit controversial at times but we can't deny Joan Rivers comedic timing. RIP to a great comic.

She was just on Letterman a few months ago, and at her age was still outrageously funny. Thank you for all the years of laughter. You busted my gut more times than I can count.

RIP, her scene in MTM cracks me up every time, and I hope now that when MTM airs on TV they will not cut that scene out. Besides MTM, she was awesome in Arthur, Shrek 2, and The Simpsons, sad news though not that sudden.

This phrase gets tossed around a lot, but I really think we will never see the likes of her again. She was abrasive and inappropriate, often to the extreme, but she always turned that back around to herself and wasn't afraid to bring up her own troubled life in her act. She certainly was a major influence on a lot of comedians working today.
